We appreciate Registry Member Marshall Parks for sharing his insights as Interim Associate Vice President for Human Resources at New Mexico State University. We look forward to celebrating his future accomplishments in this role and beyond!

"I have had the privilege of meeting and working with many amazing faculty and staff, and I’ve had a wonderful experience both on campus and in the Las Cruces community. I’m still working on my final answer regarding whether I prefer red or green chili, but it’s been a lot of fun taste-testing all of the options in the area.

It’s an exciting time in the University’s history as NMSU welcomed a new president on January 1st, bringing new energy and optimism to campus. Since my arrival, we have been busy developing both short-term and long-term plans for the human resources function, with a focus on putting the "human" back in human resources. The team has made great strides on initiatives such as developing a new classification and compensation system, a new training platform, a new I-9 platform, improving hiring processes, and evaluating our benefits offerings. We’ve accomplished a lot, and there’s still much more to do in my remaining time as an Aggie."
