We are delighted that Registry Member Cynthia Azari has been enjoying her placement as Interim Dean of Arts & Sciences at Walla Walla Community College. Her reflections on the significant impact of administrative decisions on students highlight the thoughtful and compassionate leadership she brings to her role. We are proud of what she has accomplished thus far!
"As Interim Dean of Arts and Sciences, I have the opportunity to work directly with both faculty and students. In the course of my work, I can emphasize the importance of diversity and inclusion in instructional materials and classroom activities. Additionally, as I build professional relationships with faculty members, I have encouraged those interested in administration to develop a professional action plan that includes relevant experiences and training. Although I served as a dean many years ago, this opportunity has reminded me of the importance of considering the impact of administrative decisions on students, and of remembering that our actions can make a significant difference in their lives."
