"ATHENS — Ronald Ingle, who has been on the job for just over a week as Athens State University’s interim president, has a list of priorities to tackle, including helping find his permanent replacement and strengthening ties with other higher-education institutions.
“My top priority is to assist the board (of trustees) in conducting the search for the new president,” he said. “I’m there to assist, only that.”
Cathy Dickens, chairwoman of the university’s board of trustees and of its executive committee, said the goal is to select a president by next spring, with employment beginning in August 2019."
